The useful divide is getting clearer: a lot of people still treat agent performance as mostly a model problem, but the real step change comes from the harness around the model.

Context packaging, permissions, rollback, and durable state handoff are what make an agent feel less like a clever prompt and more like an operational system. That layer still feels underpriced in a lot of agent discourse.
